Independent Democrats welcomes the appointment of ANC Chief Whip
2004-06-24. The Independent Democrats congratulates Mr. Mbulelo Goniwe on his appointment as the Chief Whip of the African National Congress in the National Assembly. The ID hopes he will continue to grow the good working relationship his predecessor, Mr. Nkosinathi Nhleko, had build with the ID.
"It is the ANC's prerogative to appoint whoever it wants to in
whichever position within its ranks. We hope that Mr Goniwe will
respond to his call by discharging his considerable responsibilities as
the Chief Whip of the ruling party professionally and fairly."
