The Independent Democrats welcome President Thabo Mbeki"™s undertaking
to meet with the ID Leader, Patricia de Lille, to discuss service
delivery objectives to the poor of South Africa. The ID remains
independent and involved in the progress and welfare of all South
Africans.
The ID has already launched the following outreach campaigns:
Wheelchair donation Campaign, Access to Education Campaign and Respect for our Pensioners Campaign.
"We will continue to drive these campaigns hard in all the disadvantaged communities by means of our local structures. At the same time we have embarked on a drive via all the ID councillors to identify and support those incomplete municipal projects aimed at uplifting the poor communities," said Avril Harding, ID Secretary-General.
