The Independent Democrats will launch an HIV/AIDS Training Programme called "Bridges of Hope"
2004-11-30. The Independent Democrats will launch an HIV/AIDS Training Programme called "Bridges of Hope" for its members from various branches in KwaZulu-Natal. The launch of the programme, which will coincide with the World Aids Day, is primarily aimed at creating awareness about the existence of HIV/AIDS and building capacity of the ID members to become well-equipped foot soldiers in the fight against HIV/AIDS in their communities.
The ID believes that charity should begin at home hence the training
will be given to its members so that they can become foot soldiers in
the fight again HIV/Aids and spread the message where they live. The
programme is highly interactive and requires maximum participation. The
Training Programme originates from Zimbabwe and was introduced in South
Africa by the Standard Chatter Group. The Programme will be coordinated
by Mrs Fhaynaaz Ramdhani, an Aids Champion for Standard Executives and
Trustees for KZN.
The ID will then roll-out this programme to all our branches in all nine provinces next year.

Venue: Berea Rovers Club
73 Jacko Jackson Road (cnr Rd/NMR Avenue)
