The Independent Democrats will be jolling through the
streets of Riviersonderend with the Western Cape’s DJ Elbees on
Saturday 19 May.
The town – Ward 1 - will be holding a by-election which pits the
ID against the DA/ANC, each of which have had a chance to govern it, on
Wednesday next week.
‘We will be painting the streets in the orange of the Independent
Democrats,’ says Shaun August, the Deputy National Organiser for the
ID.
‘We will be dancing along the gravel roads that the ANC and the DA
have ignored for over a decade.
‘Our Mayors, Deputy Mayors and structures will dance up front,
leading Riviersonderend to the possibility of a brighter future,’
August says.
The jol starts at 10am at the Shell Ultra City at the
start of the Main Street from Cape Town side.
