ID statement on Sassman case
27-08-2007, 13H00, ID Chief Whip Lance Greyling says the party ‘has been vindicated in the Cape High Court.
‘The judgement is a lesson to all those public representatives with
their designer illnesses who don’t exhaust internal processes and run
straight to the courts,’ says Mr Greyling.
‘The ID respects the independence of the judiciary. We have been vindicated in dealing with errant public representatives in terms of our Constitution. We will continue to deal with them in a fair and just manner.’
