ID President Patricia De Lille will deliver a speech at the conference at 10h15 tomorrow. All members of the media are invited to attend.
The Northern Cape Provincial Executive Committee will be elected
at this conference. There will be 162 voting delegates
representing 5 districts, namely Francis Baard, Kgalakgadi, Pixley
Kasema, Syanda and Namakwa.
‘The Northern Cape Provincial Executive Conference is held in
preparation for the party’s Policy Conference, in June 2007,
and the party’s National Executive Conference, which takes place
on the 7th and 8th July 2007, at the
University of the Western Cape.’
The Northern Cape will have the second largest number of voting
delegates -121, including 2 MPs - at the ID’s National Executive
Conference, to be held on 7 and 8 July this year.
The Western Cape Province has the largest number of delegates,
with 256 attending the National Conference. A total of 600 delegates
will be in Cape Town for this historic event.
