National People’s Party’s (NPP) Chief Executive may be moonlighting, says ID Western Cape Provincial boss Izak Jenner
13H00, 5-09-2007 Faried Stemmet, the Chief Executive of the National People’s Party, ‘appears to be moonlighting,’ says Izak Jenner, the ID’s Western Cape Provincial Chairperson.
‘The Independent Democrats has received information that Stemmet is a
State Prosecutor in George. It therefore seems that he is working for
Badih Chabaan and David Sasman, and the National Prosecuting Authority
at the same time,’ says Jenner.
‘The ID wants the NPA to investigate whether Stemmet has got permission to do both jobs at the same time.
‘The fact that he is working as the Chief Executive of a party that is alleged to have used bribery before and during the floor crossing period to attract councillors has a negative effect on the integrity of the courts, and this should also be investigated,’ Jenner says.
