"As a proud South African I wholly believe in the ruling that the courts handout. However I feel sadness for those who suffer from this deadly disease and the lack of attention our Government gives to this.

This trial has been a distraction to all those who campaign for more investment in HIV & Aids awareness and in ensuring those who suffer have adequate treatment. These ladies are suffering and my heart goes out to them. I could have only hoped that more is done to alleviate the pain they
must feel each day.

They are the ones we should care for.

It is unfortunate that this case went to court. I am tired by it and I am sure they are to. I can only say that it was not my
intention to create distress and if I did I am truly sorry.

All I hope now is that I can put all my efforts, as I have done
so in the past, to awake our leaders and all the leaders of the
world to pay more attention to this pandemic and create change.
As a representative of our people I will do whatever it takes to facilitate positive change and equity for all."
