Corruption is still rife in this country. It is a scourge that has far-reaching effects on society: not only in terms of retarding economic and social development, but also in that it creates an environment that is not conducive to the efficient functioning of government and the private sector.

We at ID are dedicated to the elimination of corruption in any shape or form. As such, we would like to work with you, the general public, to identify important issues and areas that need to be addressed. We are now in the process of setting up an anti-corruption unit that will look into alleged incidents of corruption, and take action as necessary.

If you know of specific instances of corruption that you would like to bring to our attention, whether in the private sector or in government, please supply us with all the relevant information.

This would include:

   1. Dates and place alleged incident/s took place;
   2. Details of alleged corruption;
      - including correspondence, official documentation
   3. Parties involved;
   4. Evidence supporting the allegation;
   5. Your contact details.

Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to investigate allegations, and as such, need these details to be supplied to us.

The fight against corruption is an uphill battle which will only be won through commitment and widespread co-operation between stakeholders.
